L.A. City Council Moves Forward with #DWPReform
After engaging in the process of soliciting suggestions and ideas from stakeholders across the city, the Rules, Elections, Intergovernmental Relations and Neighborhoods Committee, led by Council President Herb Wesson, issued their Report and Recommendations last week, and on Tuesday the Council discussed and then adopted recommendations for a November ballot measure.
The November ballot-measure proposal suggests that the DWP should have a board that’s more expert, more free of political influence and more informed by independent analysis.
