Assistive Technology for Employers and Businesses Web Portal Released by RESNA Catalyst Project
The Assistive Technology for Employers and Businesses Web Portal features information on AT solutions in the workplace, finding help to access AT through the AT Act Entities, a consultant data base directory of RESNA Professionals and the services and expertise each offers to: employers, publications on AT and Employment, various resources for employers to explore, and the partners who have worked with the RESNA Catalyst Project to create the Portal.The partners include the United States Business Leadership Network, Job Accommodation Network, the Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation, Southeast TACE, and the U.S. Department of Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration.

Free Webinar Series for Students with Intellectual Disabilities & Their Families

Think College's free webinar series begins on December 12th, 2012. The webinar series covers many different topics based on Think College: Postsecondary Education Options for Students with ID, published by Brookes Publishing.Families, professionals and students with ID can learn about strategies to prepare for college-based transition programs, work and community-based participation. Information will also be provided about legislative and policy changes that affect postsecondary education for students with ID.

Explore VR – A New Data Collection and Dissemination Resource
Explore VR is a web application that provides easy and convenient access to a range of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) data for planning, evaluation, and decision-making. Through this data-sharing effort, we are seeking to increase knowledge about the public VR program and its role within the larger employment and disability service system, within and across states and territories. This initiative is part of the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDDR) funded Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Vocational Rehabilitation (VR-RRTC).

"What's Your Connection?" initiative emphasizes that disability is a natural part of the human experience and focuses on the integral role people with disabilities play in American society. People nationwide can participate in the campaign by submitting a captioned photograph or video that answers the question "What's your connection to disability?" Submissions will be accepted through July 31, 2013.
