September 18, 2015
As our 2015 'Movies in the Park' approaches the end of the summer series, I want to thank everyone who has come out this year. Team Wesson had a blast preparing all of the festivities for your enjoyment.
Help us go out with a bang: join us tonight at Westside Park to watch not one, but two movies simultaneously - ‘The Book of Life’ and ‘Bolt’.
As always, hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, and raffle prizes will be provided free of charge. See you there!
If you can't make tonight's screenings, our final 'Movies in the Park' takes place on Friday, September 25 at Reynier Park. Bring the whole family to see Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private of 'Penguins of Madagascar'.

Mother Of Many Paves the Path for Students to Enhance Tech Skills
At the request of Susan Miller Dorsey High School principal, Dr. Sample, Mother Of Many began implementing coding and STEAM curriculum at the school's Math & Science Magnet Academy last year. Mother of Many's computer science programs integrates coding, game design, and app development into the classroom. Today the curriculum is so popular that the classes have a waiting list.
As a result of the partnership, Mother of Many developed the first AP Computer Science Program in South Los Angeles. This is a terrific program led by dedicated instructors and CD10 is proud to be a part of future successes.
LA Animal Services Euthanizing Less Animals, Making Strides Toward Becoming a "No Kill" City
Last week, Controller Ron Galperin released an audit on Los Angeles Department of Animal Services indicating that the department has reduced the number of euthanized shelter animals citywide.
However, the reduction isn't enough. We must do more to ensure Los Angeles is on track to making 'No Kill L.A.' a reality. Save a life and adopt a pet today: bitly.com/adoptla.
